The Government of President Nayib Bukele advances in the execution of the construction and improvement projects of tourist infrastructure, as part of the commitment to recover one of the items most affected worldwide by the COVID-19 pandemic and offer Salvadorans and visitors foreign works of the first level.
Thanks to the articulated work of the Government, a historical transformation is being carried out in the Tourist Boardwalk of the Port of La Libertad. The remodeling works that are being carried out are 60% complete.
In the Puerto de La Libertad Tourist Complex, adaptation, construction and expansion of areas for new recreation and consumption areas and free pedestrian access are being carried out. The place will also have space for more restaurants and shops, in order to boost the local economy. The bet is that the site works 24 hours, seven days a week.
The work, which is part of the Surf City project, will also feature other new spaces, including the construction of an amusement park. Ministerio de Obras Públicas (MOP) has already completed the earthworks where the first amusement park in the region will be built, which will be on the seashore. Subsequently, civil works will be carried out to adapt each of the mechanical games.
The park will have five attractions: Ferris Wheel, Roller Coaster, Carousel, Frog Hopper and Pirate Ship, games that have been donated by the People’s Republic of China. But the Government has also provided $ 4 million for the project.
100% of the workforce that collaborates in the works is Salvadoran, which contributes to the generation of jobs in the area.
