CEL and ANDA sign technical agreement for contraction of Biogas Plant

The Executive Hydroelectric Commission of the Lempa River (CEL), this day together with the National Administration of Aqueducts and Sewerage (ANDA) signed a technical agreement for the construction of the Biogas Plant in Ciudad Delgado.

 

This project is focused on the objectives promoted by the Republic President Nayib Bukele to provide clean energy to Salvadorans.

 

“I am very proud of this project, because not only will it allow 25 GWh of clean energy to be injected into the national matrix, benefiting more than 21,000 Salvadoran families, but it will also bring great environmental benefits, unprecedented,” commented the president of the Autonomous Community Daniel Álvarez .

 

Said technical agreement will serve to create an Electric Generation Plant with Biogas, this with the main purpose of cleaning the wastewater of the Metropolitan Area of ​​San Salvador that will end up in the Acelhuate River.

 

The head of the Autonomous Community Daniel Álvarez added: “Today is a historic day, we do not work as islands and now we are going to sign an important one to start up the execution of the Biogas Plant in Ciudad Delgado.”

 

Both institutions this day assumed a commitment in favor of those who live in the metropolitan area of ​​San Salvador and the care of the environment.
